About Us

My name is Renee...I grew up in Sheldon, IA my entire life. A small town located in NW Iowa surrounded by fields of corn in the Summer and covered with a blanket of snow in the Winter. Sheldon is roughly an hour NE of Sioux City, IA, an hour SW from the "Lakes" and 1.5 hours SE of Sioux Falls, SD. A small town filled with churches and families. I come from a family of hard workers, farmers and small business owners, so you can say entrepreneur runs in my blood as well! I have one sister, wonderful parents and two beautiful children. 

In 2013 as a single mother of two, I took a leap of faith and opened Sweet Puddle Jumpers Boutique on August 13th in downtown Sheldon in a 1200 sq ft building on 3rd Avenue. The first year I carried Children's Clothing...the second year I picked up Women's Clothing which was a hit! After 4 years I moved SPJ to 320 9th Street. A location of 2500 sq ft on main street downtown Sheldon. In 2022 I made the difficult decision to discontinue carrying children's clothing to give even more room to our growing women's clothing collection. End of Dec. 2022, I purchased a old "mechanic" shop on HWY 18 in Sheldon.  This building would soon be SPJ's forever home.  4800 sq ft to be converted into a fashion paradise if you may. Gutting began June 2023. And completion was September 2023.  SPJ moved into our forever home on September 16th. We were only closed for 3 days until we reopened on September 21st to our amazing customers. What a fun 10+ years with all of you. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for SPJ!

My goal when I opened and will always be...is to provide trendy, comfortable and affordable clothing for every body shape, age and style out there!
